RocketHost
RocketHost is a match hosting service that runs dedicated Rocket League servers in the cloud, eliminating the need for LAN workarounds like Radmin, Hamachi, or port forwarding when playing with custom bots against friends. It's the primary way the community plays competitive matches with RLBot bots.
RocketHost has its own curated selection of the community's strongest bots, hosted directly on the service.
Please help cover server expenses by supporting JetFox on Patreon.
Using RocketHost in the RLBot v5 GUI
The v5 GUI has RocketHost built in — no BakkesMod plugin required. This is the recommended way to use the service.
- Open the RLBot v5 GUI and navigate to the RocketHost page.
- The GUI fetches the list of available servers and bots.
- Set up the match:
- Choose a server region from the dropdown.
- Pick a map.
- Select your launcher (Steam / Epic / etc) via the launcher options button.
- Drag bots from the available list onto the blue and orange team slots.
- Click Start. The GUI will launch Rocket League, connect to the RocketHost server, and spawn the bots.
- Share the IP/port address shown in the success message with your friends. They can join via:
- The Lobbies tab in the v5 GUI.
- The Rocket Host BakkesMod plugin (press F8, enter the IP/port, click Join).
- The in-game menu (Play > Private Match > Join).
You can switch between RocketHost and lobby views
The v5 GUI has tabs for Rocket Host (setting up new matches) and Lobbies (joining or spectating active games).
